Welcome to Kentucky, y’all!
We’re so excited to celebrate with you in the Bluegrass State. While you’re here for our big day, we hope you take some time to explore the beauty, charm, and southern hospitality that make Kentucky feel like home. Here are some of our favorite places, eats, and experiences to enjoy during your stay!
A sprawling equestrian theme park featuring the International Museum of the Horse, live demonstrations, vintage trolleys, horseback trail rides, and retired racing legends in the Hall of Champions
A historic racing venue where you can watch thoroughbreds train or tour the beautiful grounds (especially magical early in the morning)
A 100-acre botanical garden with native species, demonstration gardens, walking trails, and educational spaces. Open year-round
Enjoy local food, artisan shopping, murals, breweries like West Sixth, and meals at spots like Dudley’s, Pearl’s, or Blue Door Smokehouse; be sure to try a bourbon cocktail or Ale‑8‑1 soda
Lexington is a great home base for visiting nearby distilleries like Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Maker's Mark, and boutique stops like Old Pogue or New Riff
Visit farmers’ markets, art galleries, boutique breweries like West Sixth and Country Boy, along with excellent southern dining options downtown
